The Roots of Learning Story

Roots of Learning was begun by me - Heather Widener - former teacher/educational consultant/ stay-at-home mom of three boys/avid reader & writer / proponent of all things interesting in education. With the help of a couple great tech guys, I’ve created Roots of Learning as a way to share some of the resources and ideas I’ve developed or that I come across, and learn about new ones from YOU!

We know that sometimes you want more for your kids than you see school providing. Sometimes you want to extend their in-school learning with great experiences outside of school. We realize the more you know and the more resources you have, the more empowered you are. Roots of Learning is a place where you can dig in and find and share valuable content, ideas, and resources to use with the kids you love.
